About Us Donate here Please

The charity work first started in September 2004 with the sponsorship of Sujeet's education (a boy from Kathmandu). The money was raised by a sponsored trek to Everest Base Camp. Over the next couple of years fundraising continued and help was given to other Nepali families and also a Kathmandu orphanage.

In January 2007 following a request to help a village school the Charity was formally registered with the UK Charity Commission. The Charity was founded as a family affair and the trustees are David and Doris Allen (living near Cardiff), and their daughters Samantha (who lived in Kathmandu for several years but is now in Wales) and Nicola (living in London). Raju Tamang, Samantha's husband works closely with our project manager Gita Tamang (living in Kathmandu) identifying families and schools that need help and managing the projects.

As a charity we take no deductions from donations for our expenses or running costs. Only the unavoidable banking costs are incurred.
